Hometown: Webbers Falls, Okla.

How did you first get interested in agriculture?
“I came by it naturally. We had a hog farm in Eufaula, Okla., before we moved here and my dad became an ag teacher. My grandpa also had a cattle farming operation here that I helped with when I was young.”
What is your involvement with FFA?
“Right now I am the chapter president and show hogs. My favorite activity is prepared speech. Next year I want to run for the FFA Northeast Division Vice President.”
Future Plans: “I want to go to college at Oklahoma State University and major in communications and business. I plan one day on being a motivational speaker, and FFA is giving me great training for that.”
Advice for others: “I would tell younger kids to get as involved as they possibly can. FFA develops a lot of life skills, such as public speaking, which can be of tremendous help even with something as basic as going to a job interview.”
