Location: South 5 Highway, south of Lebanon, Mo.
Company History: Ray has 20 years experience in the well and pump service business. He worked for Jim Stamper and said Jim encouraged him to get back into the business. Ray’s grandfather and great-uncle, Lynn and Buster Parish, started a well-drilling business in 1950 in Laclede County out of Stoutland, Mo. “I bought out a company in 2006 and that’s what is now AAron’s.”
Products and Services: “We install and repair water systems and wells, new pumps, we do tank repair, we work on existing systems. We don’t drill, but we have drillers we trust. I do service contracts for subdivisions. All my work is residential and farms.”
How do you stay ahead of the competition?
“Well, we’re kind of the underdog. But I keep my overhead low, and I answer my phone. I work seven days a week and keep the phone on 24 hours a day. I build my company one customer at a time. Wells don’t go out from nine to five, Monday through Friday. And I’ll travel. My area is within 75 miles of Lebanon.”
What's in the future?
"I’d like to upgrade to a newer truck that gets better gas mileage. And I’m working to get back customers of Parish Brothers and Buttram, the company I bought out in 2006.”
Do you have a company motto?
“By doing things right the first time, and treating people how I’d want to be treated.” Ray’s wife, Rebecca added, “And he’s proud of the fact that a lot of business is from a satisfied customer telling a friend about him.”
“We’re quality service, when you need it, 24 hours a day,” Ray concluded.
