Company History: ARK-A-MO has been around since 1992. Max said he purchased the company and renamed it ARK-A-MO. Max is the president and the self-proclaimed “Jack-of-All-Trades.” He works with his son, Matt. “We stay on the run,” he smiled.
Products and Services:
“We are an independent Harvestore dealer. We install and service the big blue forage silos for Harvestore, and we have the BouMatic dairy equipment line,” Max said. He added they sell and install almost all of the products, but most of their work is service work and repairs. “We have belt conveyors, TMR mixers, augers, and manure pumps. On the Harvestore silos we do mostly unloader repairs.”
What is the biggest challenge with the company?
“The high fuel costs and the distance we have to travel. Prices of fuel, food, everything has increased so much in the last couple of years, it makes everything else sky high.” Max said when his customers are in hard times, so is he.
What is your service coverage area?
“All of southwest Missouri, Arkansas, southeast Kansas, we’ve been known to go as far as Jefferson City (Mo.) and to the southern border of Arkansas.”
Do you have a business philosophy?
“We try to provide services our customers need and at a reasonable price. We try to treat people right and be honest.”
