ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The 2015 Great Plains Growers Conference and Trade Show will run Jan. 8-10 at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.

This three-day conference, aimed at beginning and seasoned growers, will showcase educational information from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota.

“Workshops this year will include topics such as high tunnels, soils and irrigation, tree fruits, advanced beekeeping, farm-to-school marketing, and growing berries,” said Tim Baker, horticulturist for University of Missouri Extension and a member of the Great Plains Growers Conference organizing committee.

The conference will also include a trade show with more than 50 exhibitors providing information about seeds, irrigation, horticultural equipment, chemicals and other topics.

MU Extension and the extension branches of Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Lincoln University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and South Dakota State University sponsor the conference.
