What special awards have you won through your FFA career?
“I’ve shown cattle locally since I was in seventh grade,” she said. “I’ve won Reserve Grand Champion Born & Bred and I was the past Reporter for our FFA chapter.” Kitty also received the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer Awards through her FFA Chapter and will receive her State FFA Degree this year.
What’s the best part of FFA?
“All the great friendships,” explained Kitty. “FFA members have so much in common and you become closer with your underclassmen through working together in contests.”
Why should other youth join FFA?
“FFA opens up so many doors to youth. Mr. Moore (FFA Advisor) helps members find their talents and by being an active member, you will meet so many folks involved in the industry.”
What does the future hold for you?
“I want to attend University of Arkansas and major in Agriculture Business,” she said. “There is so much I can do with that degree, and I hope to someday move back to my home area.”
