In town: I am employed off the farm by Schreiber Foods as a Human Resources team leader. I have been part of Schreiber for 11 years, spending 7 of those years in Human Resources.
In the Country: We are a seed stock cow/calf producer selling quality Angus bulls and females primarily private treaty off the farm. We descend from generations of Angus breeders with my daughter, Zoe being the fifth generation. Besides word of mouth, one of our biggest marketing tools is displaying cattle at Ozarks Fall Farm Fest. We have been displaying cattle there for more than 20 years. This allows us the opportunity to talk to a ton of people we wouldn’t normally connect with.
Our goal is to continue to improve the quality of cattle we have to offer. We take the feedback from our customers; industry trends and those lessons learned the hard way to continually improve. Over the years we’ve made significant improvements which we believe have propelled us forward keeping us competitive in the market.
I enjoy seeing the product or progress of the work we put in, feeling like we accomplished something at the end of the day and contributed to something bigger than myself. I enjoy spending time with my family and being outside and working as a family operation.
