History: Justin Moore has been in the trucking industry for well over a decade, hauling livestock. As he became a father, Justin decided it was time to change things up.
“He was mostly over-the-road and then we shifted gears; we needed a place of our own to park our trucks to save some money and the opportunity to a piece of commercial land came about,” Emily Moore said. “We have transitioned no to be over-the-road so much and stay local because with four kids, it’s hard to be gone all of the time. We got out of the livestock hauling business because it wasn’t conducive to family time.”
After purchasing the property, Justin and Emily began to think of ways to best utilize the property. In March 2024, J. Moore Livestock Truck and Trailer had it’s first sale.
Products and services: J. Moore Livestock Truck and Trailer offers trailer options for livestock and horses, as well as enclosed trailers, dump trailers, flatbed and hay trailers.
“We are an authorized dealer for Delta, Doolittle, Severe and we are able to get Sundowner trailers,” Emily explained. “We are also working on expanding the lines we offer. Delta is out main manufacturer right now, especially for livestock and horse trailers. We carry several utility and car haulers, and stock some stock and horse trailers, but we keep them to a minimum because customers like to custom order what they want to fit their needs.”
Service work is available.
“We can do just about anything,” Emily explained. “We have a small facility where we do basic trailer service, like routine maintenance, packing bearings, rewiring and stuff like, new axles, new springs, new flooring, new decking. We have a contracted welder and do an acid wash on aluminum trailers as well.”
