What is your involvement in agriculture?

“I am the fourth generation that has worked on my family’s dairy farm, Mabary Farms LLC. With this job, I assist with working the cattle, going to the milk barn when I am needed, feeding the cattle hay in the winter, and various other tasks. When I go to the milk barn, I do the basic milking, but I also feed the bottle calves. We have around 100 milk cows and have had up to 50 bottle calves at one time. I am also involved in FFA where I compete on contest teams and learn more about how agriculture impacts our world. In FFA I serve as Skyline FFA’s chapter President, as well as an Area 10 Second Vice President for the 2024-2025 school year. As well as serving on officer teams, I also compete on contest teams. I have competed in FFA Knowledge, Nursery/Landscape and Agronomy. Outside of FFA, I am also a brand representative for Wandering Maverick Boutique, which is an ag advocacy focused boutique.”

What is your favorite part of being involved in agriculture/living on a farm?

“I enjoy getting to interact with the animals and make sure that they are getting the proper care they need. I also love knowing that the work me and my family do on our farm benefits many other communities. While working on the farm, I get to spend time with my family. I feel that all aspects of agricultural life have some positive aspects about them, and some of my favorite agricultural memories come from working with my family members.”

What are your future plans?

“I plan on going to a 4 year university in Missouri to pursue Agriculture Education. I would like to come back close to home to teach Ag Education and be an FFA Advisor as soon as possible once I graduate college”
