What is your involvement in agriculture?
“I live on a family run century farm east of Walker, Missouri where we run about 300 head of commercial cattle. I like to help with them.”
What is your favorite part of living on farm?
“I like waking up to see mommas with new baby calves and looking out through the fog at them. It’s such a pretty sight.”
What are your future plans? Do they involve agriculture?
“I plan to go to a four-year college and major in ag business with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. I would like to have a small business of some sort and eventually have a herd of my own.”
Who has been your biggest influence and why?
“In agriculture, my dad and my ag advisors. My dad has taught my brothers and I from a very young age about the importance of money management and ranch management, as a whole He has helped me to see how important ag really is in our world. My advisors have given me a passion to advocate for ag. They’re passionate about helping young people in agriculture understand how it shapes our world and that’s given me the same fire for promoting ag, also.”
