Golfers raise more than $27,000 for Missouri 4-H

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Golfers competed for charity at the sixth annual Missouri 4-H Foundation Clover Classic Golf Tournament, June 2 at A. L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia. Co-presenting sponsors were Monsanto, The Climate Corp. and Great American Insurance-Crop Division.

“It was a very successful day thanks to the tremendous support shown by our 4-H Foundation friends and partners,” said Cheryl Reams, Missouri 4-H Foundation executive director. “With 21 teams participating in support of the University of Missouri Extension 4-H Youth Development program, this year’s tournament raised more than $27,000 for Missouri 4-H programs, the most the tournament has raised to date.”

John Raines, co-chair and ambassador for Monsanto and The Climate Corp., along with Greg Sowder of Great American Insurance-Crop Division, welcomed players, thanking everyone for their ongoing support before challenging teams to compete on behalf of Missouri 4-H youth. Prizewinners of the Championship Flight were “Team 21” and “UMKC.” A-Flight winners were “4-H Director’s Team” and “The Long Shots.”
