Come enjoy a night of smooth jazz music and great dancing at the second annual Jazz and Dance Night on Saturday, April 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Stillwater Community Center. The event benefits Pencils of Promise at Oklahoma State University and is sponsored by Phillips 66.
All proceeds from the event will go toward Pencils of Promise $25,000 campaign to build a school in Ghana. With $8,000 already raised, Pencils of Promise is hoping to raise at least $10,000 more and get one step closer to making that school a reality.
The event will begin with jazz dancing lessons, and will feature music from a student group called the Carolton 5.
There will also be a photo booth and a silent auction. Some of the items being auctioned off include a basketball signed by the Cowboy Basketball team and a football signed by Cowboy Football Head Coach Mike Gundy.
Make a donation or buy advanced tickets for $8 per person or $15 for couples at http://okla.st/1k7ySfi. Tickets are $10 at the door the night of the event.
