The eleventh annual Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Conference, “From Genome to Pheonome: Connecting the Dots,” will be held on March 6-8, at the Wes Watkins Center.

The conference, will cover topics including the large-scale data management and analysis associated with the human microbiome project, predictive biology and designing genealogy samplers for population genetics. Dr. Peter Hoyt will lead a workshop on “Next-Generation Sequencing and Bioinformatics” on Thursday, March 6.

Dr. Stephen McKeever, Oklahoma Secretary for Science, will headline the event. Keynote speakers will include Dr. Owen White, associated director at the Institute for Genome Sciences at the University of Maryland; Dr. Vasant Honavar, professor at Pennsylvania State University and Dr. Jody Hey, professor and director of the Center for Computational Genetrics and Genomics at Temple University.
