INDIV

President/CEO: Jose Sala
Headquarters: Springfield, Mo.

History: INDIV (International Division, Inc.) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. In 1964, Lipscomb Grain and Seed Company in Springfield, Mo., began exporting equipment for farms and hatcheries to the Caribbean. INDIV began as an export management company handling exports for USA manufacturers. Because many companies have consolidated over the last 10 years, INDIV moved to branded products. This led INDIV to manufacturing it’s own products, which increased sales and allowed INDIV to become more competitive.

INDIV International: INDIV develops, manufactures and distributes complete poultry raising systems to customers in Central America, South America, the Caribbean and Asia.

Indiv USA: Indiv is now expanding its operations in the U.S. Currently, Indiv is building a 16,000 square foot warehouse in Buffalo, Mo., where they will handle the logistics for exports and house inventory. The new facility should be up and running by December.
“We are trying to find niches that we can fill here in the U.S. We are looking at new ways to diversify our company,” said Jose.

Indiv USA Products: Indiv USA will offer a line of plastic poultry products including baby chick feeders, feed dispensers, drinkers, fence and avian migration barriers, poultry transportation coops along with a few other specialized products. The baby chick feeders offer a unique design, which provides more feed availability, better sanitation and less waste. The feeders are designed so the chicks can’t crawl inside.
“Our goal is to make as many things in the U.S., as we sell here. A lot of our steel products are made in Buffalo by Hostetler. We source from 20 different companies many of which are in the U.S.,” concluded Jose.
