Director of Agriculture Dr. Jon Hagler will visit Hazelwood Monday, June 3, to recognize Missouri dairy farmers and Missouri’s dairy industry and celebrate National Dairy Month. Missouri’s dairy farms and dairy facilities, including Prairie Farms’ Hazelwood plant, produce more than $4.4 billion worth of dairy products annually, employing more than 5,500 people.
In addition to being Dairy Month in Missouri, June also marks the start of Prairie Farms Dairy’s 75th anniversary.
During the visit, Prairie Farms CEO, Ed Mullins, Dr. Hagler and attendees will have the opportunity to tour areas of Prairie Farms manufacturing facility and sample a variety of the dairy facilities’ products. Prairie Farms’ Hazelwood facility receives milk from producers in eastern, central and southern Missouri each day and serves as a distribution hub for the region.
