Career opportunities and research will be in the spotlight as the Oklahoma State University Automation Society hosts Automation Day on Friday, March 1.
Automation Day features several events all through the day including a keynote presentation, automation contest, guest presentations, poster competition and networking dinner. The program and details for the event are at http://osuas.okstate.edu
The events and prizes are sponsored by ExxonMobil Corporation, Yokogawa Corporation, Georgia Pacific and the OSU Student Government Association. Prizes up to $300 in gift cards will be awarded to the automation contest winners and the poster contest winners. The events are open to everyone, including high school students in Stillwater and other universities in Oklahoma. The automation contest and the networking dinner require signup on the website http://osuas.okstate.edu.
The Automation Society is a student organization of the International Society of Automation (ISA) (www.isa.org) and a recognized organization on the OSU Stillwater campus. ISA is an international professional organization headquartered in Raleigh, N.C. with over 30,000 members worldwide.
There are more than 70 members from all engineering disciplines in the OSU student organization. Chemical engineering doctoral student Upasana Manimegalai Sridhar is the current President and Program Chair and Dr. R. Russell Rhinehart (Professor and Amoco Chair, ChE) is the Faculty Advisor.
