Spring River Salvage

History: Rooster started Spring River Salvage over 20 years ago with a desire to build a salvage big and broad enough to accommodate the needs of farmers, with an emphasis on tractors and harvesting equipment. Through the years, Rooster has seen many changes, and has modified his stock and methods as necessary to continue with his focus, “The secret of success is to find a need and fill it.”
Service: Rooster, along with Doug Shelley, new parts sales and Dusty Lawrence, yard manager, work long hours during harvest season to ensure that parts are available when needed. Being able to provide farmers with machinery parts is something Rooster takes seriously, “Without the farmer, there wouldn’t be a need for me, for any of us. It starts with the farmer.” Having years of experience, and a knowledge of the equipment, Rooster is also able to provide an adequate new stock inventory for frequently needed parts.
Community: Every Thanksgiving, along with friends and family, Rooster fries turkeys for neighbors that wouldn’t otherwise have one for dinner. It’s become an annual event for six years now which Rooster finds very rewarding and is thankful for living in a community where helping and giving is a high priority.
