COLUMBIA, Mo. —Bob Idel and FCS Financial were honored with the Missouri 4-H Foundation Nelson Trickey Bridge Builder award Sept. 21 in Columbia. Idel, who is a vice president at FCS Financial, also serves as a Missouri 4-H Foundation trustee. Throughout his tenure on the Foundation board, Idel has exemplified leadership, and has gone above and beyond to further the 4-H mission.
“Bob is completely devoted to his role as a Foundation trustee,” said Missouri 4-H Foundation executive director Cheryl Reams. “He is the first person to volunteer his time, to stretch his list of contacts to help fundraise, and to do whatever is necessary to achieve the organization’s goals.”
Idel’s work ethic reflects FCS Financial’s dedication to sustaining and improving rural life in Missouri. For more than 95 years, FCS Financial has been a cornerstone of Missouri’s rural economy. Recognizing the link between 4-H and vibrant communities, FCS Financial has been a 4-H partner for nearly two decades, and has recently pledged to establish the FCS Financial – Missouri 4-H Animal Science Fund, which will provide permanent support for animal science programs.
FCS also received the Friend of 4-H award from the Missouri state 4-H council, which lauded the organization’s contributions to the youth program.
“The scope of FCS Financial support to Missouri 4-H members is phenomenal,” said Reams. “We are fortunate and grateful to have Bob Idel and FCS Financial as partners.”
