How are you involved in agriculture?
“I have a show steer and I have a couple of projects going. I work for my dad at our property. I weed eat, bush hog and mow. I also work at a truck shop and repair broken trucks. I mow over there, too.”
What are your goals in agriculture?
“I’d like to take over my dad’s concrete business and possibly the truck shop that I work at. My dad owns North Arkansas Concrete Construction. It would be nice if I could have that.”
Do you plan to continued in agriculture?
“Yes. I plan on having a couple of cows, get some fall money – that’s money that I’ll need, going into the winter.”
Future Plans: “I’m probably going to Arkansas State University, Mt. Home, for my first two years, and then after that I’ll see where I go. I’d like to major in something related to business.”
Why did you get involved in FFA?
“A girl got me into it – she got me hooked on it, and I started doing showing. Working outside has always been a part of me, so I figured if I’d just do this and do something in school that I enjoy, it would just make school more fun.”
If you could change any one thing in agriculture, what would that be?
“A biggie would definitely be the price of corn because it affects farmers and it affects fuel. I can see that being one of the biggest things I’d change for agricultural purposes.”
