Company History: The story of C&Z Tire began after 23-year-old Carl Parker left his family’s farm to find work in Fayetteville, Ark. He eventually joined his brother-in-law in a backhoe business. “We were the first ones in Elkins, Ark., to have a backhoe. We did that for 30 years. We started with two new tires and two used tires 15 years ago. We leased the equipment and that’s how we got started in the tire business. My wife keeps the books. She’s been my partner for 48 years,” said Carl.
What types of tires do you sell?
“All kinds of tires – fluid tires, tractor and truck, lawn mowers, four wheelers and trailers,” he said. Carl stocks several brands of tires so that customers have a good selection to choose from. “We keep tires that we can buy that are worth the money and that people can afford.”
What is your philosophy?
“This all belongs to the Lord, I just come in here day after day and try to take care of it the best I can. And if the Lord owns it and you can take care of it, He’ll see that you’re going to make it. We treat our customers like we would want to be treated. The Lord has given us some good customers – ones that keep coming back.”
